to & fro aims to make greeting cards relevant within our digital age. to & fro endeavours to revive greeting cards by changing the dated perception to one that is fresh, fun and playful. The logo echos this ethos and drives the branding and product designs.
The name to & fro is a play on the words ‘to’ and ‘from’ - the two traditional, fundamental elements of a greeting card. It also alludes to the process of conversation.
This theoretical brand nods toward the past and embodies an appreciation of nostalgia in a fresh way to create a unique sentiment in the present.
The Greeting Cards:
Each to & fro greeting card has been designed to be engaged within unorthodox and playful ways to reveal the hidden messages.
The message for each crossword card reads ‘I Love You’. Each of the three cards has a different set of clues tailored toward either a partner, a friend or a parent.
The word search cards contain unexpected, potentially unpleasant messages that are left for the recipient to find including ‘we need to talk’, ‘get over it', and ‘hate to break it to you’.
